Applications

The ENEA microbial collection is composed of bacteria, fungi, and algae with highly diverse potential applications: from the degradation of environmental contaminants to new products for the restoration of artistic heritage, from plant health to sustainable agriculture in arid soils, from the production of biomolecules for industrial, energy, and food uses to the production of bio-based molecules for the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, pharmaceutical, and green chemistry sectors; finally, a plant virus with applications in the biomedical field for the development of innovative vaccines, diagnostic systems, and targeted drug delivery in oncology.
